I: A randomized controlled trial of Homeopathic remedies in the treatment of Alcohol Dependence in collaboration with National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences
The study is being done under the guidance of of Dr. Issac Mathai, Managing and Medical Director, SOUKYA, and Dr Vivek Benegal, NIMHANS. The study is being conducted by Dr. Sudha, Director, SOUKYA and is supported by Dr. Sheeba.
There are homeopathic remedies that have been mentioned in the materia medica and also proved in clinical practice that are helpful in helping in alcohol dependence. Our aim was to investigate the efficacy of homeopathic remedies in the treatment of persons with alcohols dependence. The objective was to study the effect of specific homeopathic remedies Quercus Glandium Spiritus Q and Avena Sativa Q along with constitutional homeopathic remedies in subjects receiving treatment as usually for alcohol dependence and to compare them with age and sex matched controls receiving only treatment as usual for alcohol dependence.

I-An interventional study on Auriculotherapy in treating patients with tobacco dependence in collaboration with National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences under the guidance of Dr Issac Mathai, Managing and Medical Director, SOUKYA, and Dr Vivek Benegal, NIMHANS.
II-Study on the use of Kudzu (Pueraria tuberose) in treating patients with alcohol dependence in collaboration with National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences under the guidance of Dr Issac Mathai, Managing and Medical Director, SOUKYA, and Dr Vivek Benegal, NIMHANS.
